Size: 2,400 Square Feet
The Frontier Culture Museum Foundation hired Lineage Architects for schematic design of a Merchant Mill to be constructed at the museum by the internationally recognized Timber Framers Guild. The schematic design process involved investigation of mills in the Shenandoah Valley. A three-day design workshop was coordinated with Lineage, the Timber Framer’s Guild, and museum staff to visit properties and fulfill the programming stage of the project. The schematic package for the mill was accepted and approved by the Frontier Culture Museum Board of Directors, as well as the FCM Board of Trustees.
