The design of Highland Medical Center addresses the challenge of providing quality, comprehensive healthcare for medically underserved population in remote regions of Virginia and West Virginia. The project included the new construction and renovation of the existing facility for offices, exam rooms, laboratory, dental, x-ray, acute care, and maintenance areas. The project was completed while maintaining operations at the facility. In addition to facility imporvements, there is also an FAA approved helipad for emergency airlift to other medical facilities.
